The Affordable Homes team, working as part of Legal & General, is driven by the mission to become the UK’s leading affordable housing provider. This ambition is rooted in a profound commitment to social responsibility, and a quest to address the critical shortage of cost-effective housing.

The brief

Designing an intuitive online experience.

Following the success of our last partnership with the Legal & General team on its “Homes” website, the Company turned to us once again for assistance with their new venture. The Group asked us to create a bespoke digital experience for their upcoming “Affordable Homes” website, that would simplify the experience of searching for budget-friendly housing in the UK.

The new website needed to leverage the existing brand equity of the Legal & General name, and deliver an experience consistent with its other digital assets. At the same time, the organisation wanted to ensure its site would prioritise a user-friendly experience for all potential consumers.

Our input

Crafting a user-friendly digital environment.

Building on our previous experience working with the Legal & General team, we began with a strategic analysis of the Group’s existing brand identity, and the unique value proposition the new site would offer. This process laid the foundation for a collaborative effort, where we worked alongside the business to reimagine the website’s user experience and interface.

Our bespoke approach to UX and UI design centred around an intuitive search functionality, designed to help consumers find low-cost properties relevant to their needs. Our team took a holistic approach to the project, building website architecture, wireframes, and server management support. Our design team also ensured the responsive site aligned with brand’s clean, minimalistic visual identity.

Our work with the Legal & General Group’s Affordable Housing team culminated in a bespoke website, carefully crafted with a focus on excellent user experience. We ensured the Company could deliver a simple and consistent digital experience across all devices, while drawing attention to the unique personality and reputation of the L&G brand.

Our end-to-end approach ensured the business had the framework it needed to launch an intuitive new portal for affordable home discovery throughout the UK. Today, the site continues to stand as a testament to the brand’s commitment to putting the needs of its customers first.
