Ready to revolutionise the landscape with a new offering, the team approached Fabrik for help naming their unique Cognitive Extractor tool.

The brief

Finding a name for a proprietary product.

ValueLabs asked Fabrik’s naming team to devise a memorable, descriptive, and evocative name for its Cognitive Extractor. The product uses artificial intelligence to automatically convert unstructured information into structured data, simplifying data management. This intelligent tool can draw information from various documents including invoices, forms, and identification records, saving businesses time on complex processes.

The team needed to communicate the value of this new solution via a simple, strong, and memorable name. They asked for a title that conveyed a strong sense of reliability and trust, and worked alongside Fabrik to explore various naming types and themes. Together, we agreed on a hybrid name with a clear, descriptive element.

Discovering DocSpot and finding the ideal name.

Fabrik’s team of strategic and creative naming specialists joined forces to identify a range of potential names for the new product. Various strong contenders emerged throughout the naming process, leading to further discussions about the best way to reflect the solution’s innovative essence. We conducted in-depth searches, and established selection criteria to help guide the ValueLabs team.

Finally, the company agreed on the moniker “DocSpot” for its ability to succinctly capture and convey the product’s core functionality. The name embodies the product’s capacity to identify crucial information in unstructured documents, and convert them into usable data. The simplicity of the title ensured it would be memorable, and easily comprehensible for new and existing customers.
