Committed to inspiring the technology and engineering experts of the future, EngineeringUK is an independent nonprofit organisation with an ambitious vision. Their aim is to highlight and champion the vital impact engineering and technology have on our society, inspiring innovators to pursue careers in these fields.
Originally known as the Engineering & Technology Board, the business struggled to inspire and activate its target audience with its original name. The name, often abbreviated to the “ETB”, lacked the clarity and impact the organisation needed to articulate its mission. Fortunately, they turned to Fabrik, for a new name, and a new identity.

The challenges the “Engineering & Technology Board” faced with their original name highlighted a need for a more memorable moniker and accompanying identity. The organisation was keen to demonstrate its unique proposition and purpose to a growing community of ambitious individuals, ready to transform the world we live in.
They tasked Fabrik with the challenge of crafting a new name and image, primed for the future. The brief extended beyond mere rebranding. We needed to enhance the way the company positioned itself, creating a persona that resonated with a wide audience, and stood as a clear beacon in the engineering and technology sectors.
Encapsulating the ethos of EngineeringUK.
After helping the team agree on the name “EngineeringUK”, we began our due diligence process, conducting trade mark and domain checks. From there, we moved onto the visual identity of the organisation, designing a sleek and sophisticated logo, with circular imagery that highlighted a focus on community, ambition, and discovery.
To accompany this, the Fabrik team developed comprehensive corporate identity guidelines, and a flagship 200-page annual report, alongside company stationary and digital templates for marketing. The comprehensive kit of branded assets included everything EngineeringUK needed to step into the next stage of its evolution.
