An employee communications strategy to launch new staff benefits scheme for Affinity Sutton’s workforce.
Affinity has over 1,400 employees and recognises the contribution they make. It launched a new employee benefits scheme, called Additions, but uptake was low and people found the interface and benefit options confusing. Fabrik was briefed to increase awareness and create a simpler, more engaging experience.
After reviewing the strategy, and existing internal communication design, we proposed an overhaul of the Additions benefits interface to make it easier to understand. This included a new UI and a simpler benefits statement. Two animations were created, the first outlining the benefits of the scheme and the second demonstrating how to use the Additions site.
These animations were launched to staff in a series of roadshows that were promoted using information posters and booklets, along with staff incentives. We also redesigned the welcome and staff induction packs so there was continuity of approach and message.
We commissioned Fabrik because it knew the visual identity inside out and understood our culture. This meant we were able to focus on the development of the campaign and deliverables quickly. The team at Fabrik were patient, attentive and delivered a series of materials our staff now find easy to understand.
